Each year, the American Culinary Institute (ACI), an independent chef based organization dedicated to honoring the best food products made, recognizes the best food products produced in America. It’s a real honor to win one of these prestigious awards. MexAmerica is proud to have won it many times! In fact, MexAmerica has been recognized as producing the “Best Tasting” tortillas in America for 4 years in a row in 3 different categories. So when we’re asked which is best — our Whole Wheat, Corn, or White Flour Tortillas, the simple answer is “YES”. At least they’re ALL the best according to the ACI. We’re also happy to add that they’ll be even better next year, as we are continuing to develop new varieties in our test kitchen all the time. In fact, just recently our Honey Whole Wheat Wrap was judged to be the healthiest wrap in the US by Fitness Magazine (July 2008).The best part is that they’re not just healthy… they also taste great. Men’s Health Magazine chose MexAmerica tortillas and wraps as one of their 125 Best Foods For Men list in both 2006 and 2008. The 2006 issue chose the MexAmerica Whole Wheat Blend tortilla as the healthiest tortilla in the US.In 2008 the MexAmerica 100% Honey Whole Wheat tortilla/wrap won the honors when judged against other tortillas and wraps on a national level.
